Ecuador has a lot of work to do to ensure its citizens are able to participate fully and freely within society. The progress needed on the environmental front is also especially critical.  if there's any country where it's worth making the environment a priority, its the home of astounding rainforests and the ecological treasures of the Galapagos Islands.
