Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has a diverse topography covered, in many places, with deep forests of hardwoods in forgotten and barely accessible ravines between low mountains formed by deposits from retreating glaciers.  It has long been the home to many lovers of nature, but was also the first place in the United States that oil was discovered and was, for may generations, a major producer of coal.  It has done a good job transitioning to cleaner power generation and Pittsburg and Philadelphia are now centers of technology and progressive thought.
