Vietnam scores disappointingly low on all of the issues we measure. Its been a hard road back for Vietnam after the second half of the 20th century left deep scars on the South-east Asian country. In recent years Vietnam's economy has improved by leaps and bounds, but that has yet create a democratic, corruption free society that protects human rights and the envionment.

Vietnam has some of the lowest ratings of any Country currently rated.  Very poor marks for Environmental Protection.  No same-sex marriage.  Poor corruption index rating under Just and Civil Society.   Vietnam also has a huge trade imbalance with the U.S.
